The Who & the What

Hey there, hi there, ho there! Okay wait, that was a bit awkward. Let me start over…

*pulls it together*

Hello, one and all! (Just kidding, I didn’t pull it together at all. Clearly need to work on this ‘introduction’ thing.)

So, this is my first post for my week of “introducing” myself and my business, catballoon designs, more formally to you. Since it’s the beginning, I figured I’d start with the basics so, here goes…

Who are you?
My name is Catherine Edsel Watson and I am the owner of catballoon designs located in Austin, Texas.

What is catballoon designs?
catballoon designs is my web and graphic design business that I (officially) started in 2015 – but have been doing since 2013. I completed my MFA degree in Web Design & New Media in 2015 at which point I decided it was time to make my small business official.

What do you do at catballoon designs?
So, I do web and graphic design work – dependent upon my clients’ needs – which typically consists of a combination of the following:

  • Graphic design work/ branding or re-branding for new and/or exisiting businesses, start-ups, corporations, etc.
  • Branding typically consists of designing logos, color schemes, moodboards, etc. that will be applied to the business’s overall design style (so the business’s web presence, business stationery like letterheads, invoices, business cards, and other printed business materials like flyers, advertisements, etc.)
  • Web design work in which I take all the information I’ve compiled about my client’s business and combine it with their new or existing branding in order to help me design and develop their custom, fully-responsive website.
  • I develop all of my clients’ websites myself – I don’t outsource the development side of the project. So, when you come to me it’s a one-stop shop for all of your business’s web and graphic design needs!

That’s it for today but stay tuned for tomorrow’s post. I’ll talk more about my background and how I got into web and graphic design!

Thanks for reading!
